This is my favorite of Hugh Ross's books on science and faith. As I read through it, I found myself enjoying it more and more. It's so refreshing to read an apologetics book that uses rigorous logic and yet shows a humble respect toward both the biblical text and the supporting modern science. Hugh Ross has a deep understanding of both. And I know of no other evangelical leader who has Ross's ability to explain the sometimes difficult science in such easy-to-understand language.

Many readers will be surprised, as I was, at the breadth of historical, linguistic, and scientific evidence that Ross brings together that supports the biblical account of the flood. But more importantly, he shows that no one need give up biblical inerrancy nor modern science when considering the biblical account. As such, it will be an immensely useful apologetics tool when encountering skeptics who argue that the flood contradicts modern science.

In short, I know of no other scholarly work that provides such a logical and clear explanation of how the biblical account of the flood is consistent with science. This book should prove to be a transformative resource for those who want to provide logical and scientifically accurate reasons for their belief in the Bible's description of the flood.
